Mission

At Menntafélag Pólska Móðurmáls PERSONA, our mission is to create meaningful educational and cultural opportunities for Polish children and families living in Iceland, while building strong bridges between communities, institutions, and international partners.
Our core initiative is a Saturday Polish preschool, which serves as a foundation for early language development, cultural education, and community building. We provide also ongoing support for parents and promote lifelong learning opportunities for adults, recognising the key role of the whole family in the educational process.
We focus on promoting the Polish language and cultural heritage as a foundation for identity, inclusion, and long-term educational success in a multilingual environment. At the same time, we actively support integration by equipping learners with the skills needed to thrive in Icelandic society.
As a partner-oriented organisation, we design and implement impactful projects at the intersection of education, culture, and innovation. Our work includes international cooperation, Erasmus+ initiatives, and projects focused on digitalisation in education, modern teaching methodologies, and the use of new technologies, including AI.
We collaborate with schools, NGOs, cultural institutions, and experts across Europe to develop sustainable, high-quality initiatives that respond to the real needs of communities. Through our activities, we aim to strengthen educational ecosystems, empower families, and contribute to inclusive, future-oriented learning environments.
